Not much is known about the Soul King's past but at some point he created Soul Reaper World/Soul Society and became it's ruler. At some point his body parts were split apart for unknown reasons. These body parts would eventually gain life of their own, the known pieces are Mimihagi is right hand who governed Stagnation Governance, Pernida Parnkgjas his left hand who governed evolution and Gerard Valkyrie his heart.
At some point he founded the Royal Guard who acted as his bodyguards.
Around 1200 years ago he fathered a child by unknown methods by the name of Yhwach.
