Background[]
The first settlers founded Vacuo back when the Kingdom was a lush jungle, with a large oasis, abundant resources, natural barriers and the largest Dust deposit in the world's history. These conditions allowed the citizens to enjoy an reasonable comfortable lifestyle However, these comfortable conditions also bred complacency in Vacuo's people, who had no inclination to develop and adapt as others living in less ideal conditions were forced to. This unpreparedness made Vacuo an easy target for exploitation by other Kingdoms, who wished to claim their vast resources for themselves.
About over 1000 years ago Malik the Sunderer became and rulled as the first King of Vacuo. It is claimed the his descendants can identified by the crowned shaped birth somewhere on their bodies.
Over 80 years ago during the Great War, Vacuo at first remained neutral in the conflict mainly Mistral and Mantle already having established a foothold in the kingdom. However the two kingdoms began to pressure Vacuo in siding with the them. The Kingdom to the conclusion if Vale fell then nothing would Mistral and Mantle setting their sights on conquering them next. n response, Vacuo pushed the other two Kingdoms' presence out of their territory and allied themselves with Vale.
Over the the 10 years the war lasted, Vacuo lost many settlements to the Grimm some of which where never reclaimed, finally the war came to an conclusion during the Vacuo Campaign, Mistral and Mantle tried to capture Vacuo's Dust mines hoping to cut off their supply of Dust. However the King Of Vale leading his armies alongside Vacuo's were able to defend them. It was consider the deadliest battle of the war. It was that the King himself took out majority of the invading armies however historians claim that this feat was aided by the unusually violent weather and Mantle's inexperience in desert combat. Thus the war came to end wit Vale and Vacuo as the victors, Mistral and Mantle surrender and was willing to cease it's function and rule along side Vacuo over to Vale. However the King refused and instead they the leaders of the kingdoms met on the Island of Vytal and signed a treaty and plan the future of Remnant. There, the four Kingdoms' governments were restructured, their territories were redistributed, slavery was abolished, the tradition of the Vytal Festival was begun and the King of Vale founded the four Huntsman Academies. Shade Academy was founded in Vacuo and like the other academies was given a relic to guard.
Years of fighting over the resources, mining ecological disasters exhausted Vacuo's resources and transformed the once rich Kingdom into a wasteland of heavy industry and makeshift settlements.
Government[]
Like the rest of the Kingdoms, it has an elected council, However because of the culture, civilians mostly reject formal law and order leaving the movement with mixed results of control over the Kingdom, instead the Huntsmen Academy Shade is consider the only source of order in the kingdom. As such the headmaster of the Academy has significant power and influence over kingdom and consider it's main ruler.

Geography[]
Vacuo has very harsh environment made mostly up of desert and harsh waste lands with oases doting around the place. Rain appears to be very rare in the Kingdom as well. Sandstorms and Sinkholes are also quite common.
Economy, Social Class and Culture[]
Because of his harsh environment and nomadic culture most citizens make living of what hunted or scavenged. As such a lot food is prepared from the local wild life such as mole crab. It is also noted that those who live in nomadic tribes that sand tends to get in their food often.
Social is mostly made of small settlements and nomadic tribes that ravel through deserts. These tribes occasionally merge to move in large groups. Outwards displays of emotion are looked down upon by nomads, as they attract Grimm.
Because of the Government's lack of power citizens in kingdom have less care for law and order, instead citizens look at the philosophy of survival and those can survive the harsh environment of the Kingdom are welcome and this appears to also extend to the Faunus hinting less racial discrimination in Vacuo compared to the other Kingdoms. However the citizens appear to look up too and respect the authority of the Kingdom's Huntsmen Academy Shade as such the it has great influence in the Kingdom. In the Kingdom's capital their appears to a be slight resentment towards Citizens of other three Kingdoms, this stems Great War, though they appear to be slightly more welcoming to Vale citizens, mostly due being allies during the war.

Shade Academy[]
Is the Huntsmen Academy of Vacuo located in the Kingdoms capital. Though the Kingdom does have an Elected council because of citizens disregard for law, Shade Academy is consider the real source of Law and Order in the Kingdom. As such is highly respected and and has great influence in the running of the Kingdom. The Students at the Academy are taught be able to fight until all their Aura is depleted, showing no mercy or weakness. Unlike the other three academies they have no set uniform wearing casual clothes. Shade Academy is shown to have much less camaraderie than at Beacon, students do not have much help from others. The idea of praise is seemingly absent and replaced with survival. The current Headmaster is Theodore

Vacuo(Capital)[]
Unlike the other capitals of Remnant which were planned in terms structure and civic planning. Vacuo is quite maze-like composed primarily of improvised structures and crude architecture. Due to the harsh weather and environment it is not uncommon for entire sections of the city be destroyed by sandstorms, massive sinkholes, earthquakes, heavy rainstorms and Grimm attacks. Though despite this the city has maintained a semblance of order in its layout, with separate districts for residences and businesses and a wide street through the centre of Vacuo for use as a marketplace. It is also where the Kingdom's Huntsmen Academy Shade Academy is located which dominates the Skyline
