Still, his charm would draw more colleagues later in his life. Additionally, Ging admires people who rely on their own capabilities to achieve their goals, as his challenges to Gon and Kite prove, and who show passion in what they do: in fact, Ging is, above all, an enthusiastic Hunter. He is always after something, no matter how impossible it seems, but aside from the goal, it is the quest that he enjoys.

War of Discoveries (Prologue)[]

Relationships[]

Family[]

Gon Freecss[]

Gon is Ging son, who left him under the care of his cousin Mito since he was a baby. Ging wasn't there for most of Gon's life, by his own admission, he claims the reason why was because he felt he wasn't cut out to be a parent. Which by the perspective of others, see him as a bad father, as shown when he first saw his son in a while, Gon asked if he could chat with him Ging just shrugged him off and said he was busy, which resulted in Sojiro followers yelling at him for not paying any attention to Gon. However, despite this Ging still cares for Gon and said he is happy he is a part of his life.

Traveling Strike Force[]

Ging is an ally to Sojiro followers, due to their common enemy the Cult of the End. However, he is not on good terms with them, due to his suppose uncaring relationship with his son. When he shrugged off a chance to chat with Gon, Sojiro and his group reacted with anger (in a comical way) and yelled at him for lack of trying to build a father-son relationship with Gon.

Cult of the End[]

Due to their intentions to purge his world, along with the complete disregard for life, Ging is an enemy of the Cult. He first came in contact with one of their Cardinals Kyoya, which caused some of his fingers being erased. Afterwards, after coming in contact with Chairwoman Yorkshire and meeting Sojiro and his group (along with his son), he decided to hunt down any cultist he could find and exterminate them.

Powers and Abilities[]

During his time as a Zodiac, Ging's authority in the Hunter Association is inferior only to those of the Chairman and the Vice-Chairman. His abilities are yet to be fully revealed, but being part of the Zodiacs, a Double-Star Hunter who can qualify for a Triple-Star License, having managed to beat and capture Razor, Ging is bound to be extremely proficient in Nen. Former Chairman Netero supported this theory by calling him one of the five best Nen users in the world, and Hisoka Morow is extremely interested in him. A direct example of his strength is given when he fought most of the Hunter Association without so much as getting a scratch on his person (although it should be noted it was a comical scene and no one was trying to cause serious injuries).

Another example to his feats, he was able to face to fight with Kyoya, a Cardinal for the Cult of the End, to a stalemate, even landed a few hits on him and being the first individual to dodge his Erasure Art (a feat only the other Cardinals and the Archbishop have ever done).
